Disability Pride Flag
🏴 3' x 5' Disability flag with grommets and double stitched edges to reduce fraying.
✍️ The Design: The Disability Pride Flag was created by Ann Magill, a disabled woman. Her design includes:
- The Black Field: A colour of mourning; for those who have suffered from Ableist violence, and also rebellion and protest.
- The Zigzag/Lightning Bolt: How disabled people must navigate barriers, and the creativity in doing so; breaking free from normative authority and body control
- The Five Colors: The variety of needs and experiences (Mental Illness, Intellectual and Developmental Disability, Invisible and Undiagnosed Disabilities, Physical Disability, and Sensory Disabilities)
- The Parallel Stripes: Solidarity within the Disability Community and all its differences.
🧵 Single Sided Flags are durable 200D polyester (most flags you'll find on the internet are cheap ~75D) with two grommets on the hoist edge. In our testing, we selected 200D as the perfect flag material; anything heavier doesn't fly well and the "back" doesn't get enough ink, anything lighter feels cheap and wont last very long.
🧵 Double Sided Flags are three layers, two art layers sandwiching a blackout fabric in between complete with two grommets on the hoist edge. These flags are heavier than the single sided and take more wind to get going. Perfect for flag pole display.
🏳️ Each flag is folded by hand on our dining room table and ready to be used on a flag pole, boat, hung on a wall, or to proudly march with.
❓ "What about the back side?" We print all of our flags as one-sided prints and make sure that the back has ample bleed-through. That way the design is beautiful and visible on both sides. If you want a double sided flag, contact us!
🌏 Created and shipped in the most Earth-conscious way we can.

When I asked about this flag, I received very fast and very helpful information. They were also super nice when talking with me! The flag itself is high quality as well! What more could you ask for? :)
It’s nice and big and hangs so perfectly on the window I wanted to put it on! Now I’m waiting for someone to ask about it
I couldn't find this flag printed anywhere until Flags for Good! Thank you. I am a special education instructor and this flag will be displayed proudly in the classroom window. Happy Disability Pride Month!
