The History and Meaning of the 1901 Flag Of Maine | Video

Maine had a real banger of a flag back in 1901. The "Lone Pine" flag was a beauty but only lasted less than a decade before being replaced by a boring seal on a bedsheet flag that Maine has today.

However, the 1901 flag has had a resurgence of popularity and could possibly come back for good in November of 2024. I traveled to Maine to visit with Dave Martucci, who has been trying to bring this epic flag back into vogue since before I was born.
