✍️ Our Design: Double-sided 18" x 12" vertical New England LGBTQ+ Pride garden flag. Pole not included.
The New England flag is a historical regional ensign with roots dating back to the late 17th century. This vertical garden flag adaptation features the classic design traditionally associated with the American Revolutionary era and the Battle of Bunker Hill.
The design consists of a Rainbow LGBTQ+ stripe along the bottom with the traditional white canton of the New England Flag as the main feature. Centered within the white is a green Eastern White Pine, a species native to the region. The pine tree served as a significant symbol of the New England colonies' economy and autonomy, appearing on Massachusetts coinage as early as 1652. During the 1770s, it became an emblem of colonial resistance against British maritime policies, specifically the "Broad Arrow" acts that reserved large timber for the Royal Navy.
