š“Ā Ā 3' x 5' flagĀ with grommets and double stitched edges to reduce fraying.
āļøĀ Designed by Flags For Good'sĀ Morgan Boyer.
"I designed this flag with inclusivity in mind, I wanted it to be a visual reminder that all of our struggles are connected.
Color: the rust color of the flag symbolizes the age of these issues, no longer a new battle but one that has spanned generations.
Chains: the broken chain represents breaking free of oppressive authority.
BLM fist: when the Black Panther Party was founded in 1966 by Huey and Bobby Seale to challenge police brutality against the African American community, the black power fist was repeatedly used as a symbol of Black liberation. The BLM movement of 2020 moved something deep within people, propelling the fist to be a rebuff of unjust authority and an act of collective resistance.
Lightning Bolt: A nod to the 2021 feminist strike in Poland following a near total ban on abortion. Graphic designer, Ola Jasionowska, coined the symbol with the note that: the lightning bolt represented those who were assigned female at birth regardless of their place of residence, character, or expression, as a symbol of caution, and opposition to any fascist behavior.
Circle: Representative of unity, we are all in this together."
Our flags areĀ durableĀ 200D polyesterĀ (most flags you'll find on the internet are cheap ~75D). In our testing, we selected 200D as the perfect flag material; anything heavier doesn't fly well and the "back" doesn't get enough ink, anything lighter feels cheap and wont last very long.
