🏴 3' x 5' Peace flag with grommets and double stitched edges to reduce fraying.
✍️ Our Design: In the 1950s the "peace sign", as it is known today, was designed by Gerald Holtom as the logo for the British Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND). The symbol is a super-imposition of the semaphore signals for the letters "N" and "D", taken to stand for "nuclear disarmament". I took the peace sign symbol, made it nice and thick and slapped it on a white field.
See the Size Guide video below to see Michael explain every size we offer.
🧵 Single Sided Flags are durable 200D polyester (most flags you'll find on the internet are cheap ~75D) with two grommets on the hoist edge. In our testing, we selected 200D as the perfect flag material; anything heavier doesn't fly well and the "back" doesn't get enough ink, anything lighter feels cheap and wont last very long.
🧵 Double Sided Flags are three layers, two art layers sandwiching a blackout fabric in between complete with two grommets on the hoist edge. These flags are heavier than the single sided and take more wind to get going. Perfect for flag pole display.
Each flag is folded by hand on our dining room table and ready to be used on a flag pole, boat, hung on a wall, or to proudly march with.
The double sided ☮️ Flag is amazing! Excellent quality! Flying it with our (FFG) Ukraine flag. Show your support.
It’s important to us to shop where our values align. Thanks so much for the Peace flag! We’re hanging this year round!
I love seeing our flag when I drive up our street - it's simple, yet kind of bold. So far it hasn't gotten twisted up around our flag pole either; maybe that's good luck, but every other flag we've flown has gotten twisted so win win!
Gifted my sister who lives in a conservative suburban neighborhood so she can fly the flag and cause those driving by to begin thinking & having conversations. It's a start. Planting the seed so conversations and ideas can flow. The one she is flying is "Abolish ICE"
