Pocatello, Idaho Flag
Perfect with:
🏴 3' x 5' Pocatello, Idaho flag with grommets and double-stitched edges to reduce fraying.
✍️ The Design: Pocatello had one of the worst flags in the country before 2017 when they finally fixed it and came out with this beauty. There is a ton of symbolism packed in here, so let's dive in.
On a blue field, the flag features three peaks that represent the area’s three major mountains: Scout Mountain, Kinport Peak, and Chinese Peak. The peaks also symbolize industry, recreation, and education. As for the star-like emblem, the city says:
The compass rose is a directional emblem symbolizing Pocatello’s central role as a transportation and trade hub for rail, road and air. In addition to its ties to transportation, the rose also points to our past, present and future.
The blue stripe near the bottom of the flag symbolizes the Portneuf River.
Our flags are durable 200D polyester (most flags you'll find on the internet are cheap ~75D). In our testing, we selected 200D as the perfect flag material; anything heavier doesn't fly well and the "back" doesn't get enough ink, anything lighter feels cheap and wont last very long.
