Poland Flag
3' x 5' polyester Poland Flag with two grommets, double-stitched top and bottom edges, and a triple-stitched fly edge to reduce fraying.
✍️ The Design: Adopted officially in 1919 after Poland regained independence following World War I, these national colors have represented the country for centuries. The design features a clean horizontal split of white over red.
The iconic colors were legally recognized as national emblems back in 1831, deriving directly from the coat of arms of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth:
⬜️ The top white stripe represents the White Eagle, Poland's ancient historic symbol.
🟥 The bottom red stripe stands for the red shield background, as well as the courage and sacrifice of the nation.
Flag Nerd Fact: while simple in design, the flag of Poland shares its exact layout (in reverse) with the national flag of Indonesia and the flag of Monaco... making flag orientation very important.
🇵🇱 Days of Celebration: Poles fly this flag on Polish Flag Day (May 2nd), Constitution Day (May 3rd), and National Independence Day (November 11th).
