🏴 Winner of Syracuse, NY's flag redesign contest, the First Light Flag of Syracuse in multiple sizes with grommets and double-stitched edges to reduce fraying.

✍️  The Design:  Designed by Syracuse native Eric Hart, the design is a beautiful representation of "Dawn's first light over Syracuse." The designer goes further to say:

The First Light flag represents our land, our people, our hopes, and our dreams. The six-pointed star symbolizes the Six Nations of the Haudenosaunee and the six historical names by which Syracuse has officially been known. The triangles represent the hills of Onondaga and the Onondaga Valley. The orange color symbolizes the sun and restoration. The azure blue color symbolizes Onondaga Lake and perseverance. The navy blue color symbolizes the hills of Onondaga and industriousness. The white color symbolizes salt, snow, and peace.

Syracuse flag

We love the flag! It hangs proudly on the front of our house. It is the brand new flag design for Syracuse so as you might imagine there have been inquiries from the neighbors about the design and where we found it.
Thanks for your hard work.
Ps. We composted the packaging! It will help nurture our garden next year!
