🌍 Designed by Oskar Pernefeldt in 2015 and now an international sensation, the International Flag of Earth is a proposal that is constantly gaining steam to be the first flag of our planet. Be a part of the movement and fly the flag to help in its adoption!

✍️ The Design: Centered in the flag, seven rings form a flower – a symbol of the life on Earth. The rings are linked to each other, which represents how everything on our planet, directly or indirectly, are linked. The blue field represents water which is essential for life – also as the oceans cover most of our planet's surface. The flower's outer rings form a circle which could be seen as a symbol of Earth as a planet and the blue surface could represent the universe.

Meet The Designer

Oskar Pernefeldt is the designer behind the proposal The International Flag of Planet Earth, which was presented in 2015. Besides being a vexillologist (scholar of flags), he is a renowned Creative Director in the advertising scene in Sweden, attested by many eminent awards to his name. Oskar firmly believes that symbols can create a powerful shift of perspective that can impact human behavior. The flag itself is a symbol for Earth and an important reminder that we share this planet – with all of its challenges and possibilities.

The double sided flag of Planet Earth is such good quality! I am flying it proudly in my front yard. I love seeing it sending me off in peace and coming home to it in the evening. Very cool flag

I love the look of this flag and the quality seems extremely good. I got the double sided one, I'm glad I did because it's really thick and feels very durable. It's much nicer than my neighbor's "blue lives" matter flags.

  • We donate $1 to nonprofits and organizations supporting progressive, humanitarian, and justice-oriented causes around the world. You can select which organization you want your purchase to support in the box below the "Add To Cart" button.

    If you do not select a cause, your purchase's donation will be split among all the causes listed equally!

  • Yes! All of our flags have full rich color on both sides.

  • Single-layer flags are printed on the front, so on the reverse side, any text will appear mirrored. If you want it oriented correctly on both sides, select "double-layer" options.

  • It really depends on the environment it is flying in. Direct UV exposure, wind, rain, latitude, and especially hitting things like the brick on a house will shorten your flag's life. Also, dark colors fade first and the fastest. See our care page to make your flag last the longest!

  • We want you to love your flag. If you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase, we offer a 30-day return policy. Simply contact us at orders@flagsforgood.com, and we’ll guide you through the process. Read more here

  • We are a small team with limited shelf space. If a design is popular, we start expanding what sizes we offer of that flag. Let us know if you really want to see more of this design!

  • We ship most things that don't include poles in discreet black eco-mailers. They're made from recovered ocean-bound plastic, so even our packaging does good!

    Anything shipped with a flag pole, garden pole, or large numbers of flags comes in a standard cardboard box.

  • You choose! We offer standard USPS and expedited shipping options at checkout. Standard shipping typically takes 3-5 business days within the continental US, while expedited options are available for faster delivery if you choose to upgrade. We try to get orders in the mail as soon as we can. This could be as fast as the next day or take us a few days during busy times.
