Wisconsin Flag Redesign
🏴 3' x 4.5' redesigned Wisconsin flag with grommets and double stitched edges to reduce fraying.
Most state flags suck. So we are doing something about it.
✍️ The Design: For the Better State Flag of Wisconsin, I began with the state motto of "Forward". A white and gold progress arrow is pointing toward the fly edge. The colors derive from the already beautiful People's Flag of Milwaukee. In this context though, the white and yellow represent dairy and snow on a dark blue field. The white star is Wisconsin's star on the US Flag.
A few months after starting Flags For Good, I realized I could fulfill my childhood dream of redesigning bad US State flags. So that's what I'm doing!
Single-sided flags are one piece of our durable fabric with full color on both sides. These are great for indoor use AND outdoor poles because they are light-weight and catch a breeze easily. If the design has text, it will be mirrored on the back. If there are no options, this is the default way we make our flags.
Double-sided flags are three layers of fabric that allow zero light through. They are therefore heavier, and work great as indoor display flags. You can definitely use them outside, but it takes more wind to get going and they could damage flagpoles in extreme wind conditions due to their added weight. Any text on the design will read correctly on both sides.
Each flag is folded by hand on our dining room table and ready to be used on a flag pole, boat, hung on a wall, or to proudly march with.
Bought my friend from Wisconsin this flag to fly in SC as he hosted family that were in town. He loved the design and the uniqueness of the flag.
We love the thought you put into this state flag. We would like to have this same flag in a a 12×18" burgee flag;)
