Created in collaboration with the Los Angeles LGBT Center, the Magpie Pride Flag honors the memory of Lauri Carleton. Lauri had a Pride flag hanging outside of her Mag.pi storefront in Lake Arrowhead, California. Unfortunately, a passerby disparaged the Pride flag, and Lauri was shot and killed after defending her support for the LGBTQ+ community.
A portion of proceeds from the Magpie Pride Flag will support the Lake Arrowhead LGBTQ+ Fund, commemorating Lauriās courage by supporting local and inclusive community-building initiatives. To learn more, click here.
Our flags areĀ durableĀ 200D polyesterĀ (most flags you'll find on the internet are cheap ~75D). In our testing, we selected 200D as the perfect flag material; anything heavier doesn't fly well and the "back" doesn't get enough ink, anything lighter feels cheap and wont last very long.

Lauri was a dear regular guest at my restaurant for 10 years! She lit up the whole place when she came in with hugs and love for other guests and staff. When she came in we knew we would have a good night! And if someone was being rude, we would all gossip about them with her. I canāt explain how much she will be missed throughout our community! The flag itself is absolutely gorgeous! This middle aged cis-het white woman is super proud to hang this from my house and business! Thank you for making this possible!!!
